As a Principal Consultant at Roretti, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering transformation across the public sector.
You will lead projects from discovery and design through to implementation, ensuring solutions are innovative, practical, and embedded successfully with our clients. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and hands-on delivery expertise. You will understand the challenges our clients face and be passionate about shaping the future of public services. By default, you work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and value bringing together multidisciplinary teams to create lasting impact.
This hybrid role combines remote flexibility with the value of in-person collaboration. Regular travel to client sites across the UK and participation in team meetings is essential.
Key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end transformation projects – from diagnosing client challenges and designing solutions to managing implementation and embedding change.

Develop and implement programme and project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams, providing mentorship and coaching to junior members.

Review, analyse, and understand client challenges, using data and insights to inform design and delivery.

Develop innovative solutions to complex public sector challenges and ensure they are implemented effectively.

Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Build strong client relationships, providing strategic advice and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborate with stakeholders to align objectives and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
What we're looking for

Extensive experience in the public sector and/or consultancy, with a proven track record of leading and delivering complex change programmes.

Strong leadership, organisational, and client management skills.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in interpreting data and understanding public service finance.

Deep knowledge of public sector policy and practice at national and local levels.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
